    Trivial Question: Key factors that affect companies' performance?

    Hi all,
    I'm newbie, so please bear with me.

    What are the key factors that may affect  the performance and share price of a company in a long term and short term?
    I'm a bit unsure how to separate my findings into "long term" and "short term". Please help.

    I Suggest you allow whether you intend to invest long or short term to direct your research, not the other way around.  But generally, I view fundamentals as long term and technicals (i.e., trends, etc. regarding price movement) as short term.
