New Investor Looking for Aggressive Growth

    Reply Quote

Any suggestions as to what to buy? As far as risk goes I’m looking for something with around 50/50 odds of doubling up or better.

Withdraw your money now kido. Go take girlfriend to a movie and McDonalds. Your money is more wisely spent that way.

hmmm i would look at an IPO coming out and hit it on the same day....STV was incredible and virgin mobile was AWESOME!!( VM was horrible, i was out early)  ...Or you can play penny stocks and go for broke...most will have an upside with news...so follow one for a bit and see how it reacts to news, and then when the next one comes out you can have an idea of how much potential gain it could have........

    Two Stocks I have followed:

    1. I have been following (IRIS) for a few days.
@20.00 it has been forming a base and may be ready to get to 21.00
If IRIS goes through 21.00 I beleive it may have a 25% rise.
Third Quarter Financial Results and Host Conference Call will be held on  Thursday, November 1, 2007

The company raised it's 2007 outlook and reported record revenues for the 2nd quarter.
If 3rd quarter results meet expectations, I think the stock is going through the 21.00 resistance level and quickly move up.
    Just my opinion.

    2.   (GBRC)
Global Resource Corp. has patent pending processes that allows for removal of oil and alternative petroleum products at very low cost from various resources, including shale deposits, tar sands, waste oil streams and bituminous coal with significantly greater yields and lower costs than are available utilizing existing known technologies.

The stock was pumped up early in the year and price just settled down.  There are a lot of angry traders who lost money when the stock was pumped up, but I like the stock at these levels(@2.00)
It wont move fast,  but when good news hits, this stock may rise fast.
This is a new technology that promises cleaner Energy from Coal.

    Just my opinion.
    NEWS TODAY.
Global Resource Corporation Listed for Trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
The Frankfurt exchange is the third-largest organized exchange-trading market in the world (just behind the NYSE and Nasdaq), in terms of turnover and dealings in securities. Consequently, GBRC anticipates a much wider, international market access for its shares.

I would look into SOIS, a few days ago it traded over .90 but you can now get it for around .40.    Another oil stock I would recommend is SOIGF but it's a foreign ordinary and you'd need to use a stockbroker like Scottrade or MB Trading to buy foreign ordinaries.

If you've missed your chance to buy SOIS while it was cheap, as an alternative I would recommend buying December call options for NXY with a strike price of 50.00.  The symbol for those options is NXYLJ. Right now you can buy them for around $1.50.  If the price of NXY stock, which is now trading between 39 and 40 rises to 53 by mid-December, you've doubled your money.  If the price of the stock goes to 54.50 you've tripled your money!  The price of the stock depends almost exclusively on the price of crude oil, and many experts are expecting a significant rise in the price of crude by the end of the year.
