    Reply Quote
Hi this is the brwtrpilot but now with a *in front due to my old laptop crashing and my forgetting where i put my password for zecco at... now after many days of changing over to my new acer and new att card etc
etc. and many hours finding all my bookmarks i'm back .....
anyways some time ago I bought

    Smart Move, Inc. (MVE)

now some may say it is just a box but i would like you to follow my logic on this and see what you think
oh i got in at 25 cents but any way. the logic of buying a box. So the economy is taking some big hits the past few months.. the dollar is down people are upset gas is up food is up more on gas and food later...
back to the box... now with the value of the dollar down it means that the products produced in the US
are cheep the people overseas..(correct???) now as i see a lot of people want the blue jeans, to jelly beans that are produced in the good ole usa.. so now we have the walmart system at work on the economy a lot of volume at a low price... and how are we going to move the jelly beans... oh my
it is going to take a Box yeppers a Box and a bigger box to put on a ship so our friend overseas can
have a us jelly bean.. then this morning I see this in the  LA times
    http://www.latimes.com/

U.S. exporters face cargo container shortage at ports

    they need more boxes ...
now also now that i have a new electronic box i think i will go off and  buy some more steel hint hint boxes
    have a great investing week

Thats a pretty good take on the current/future prospects of boxes.  Funny how such basic necessities can be overlooked so easily, I probably had never thought to examine the economics of boxes.    I agree with what you have to say but should offer some counterpoints to your argument; While it is true that American exports have substantially increased since the dollar's decline, its an ominous sign that Fed Ex has just announced that they are cutting its estimate from $1.45-1.50 a share to $1.80 a share due to rising fuel prices, cosidering MVE's primary partner is UPS Freight.  How much this decrease in profit margin for these companies equate to a decrease in their demand for boxes, I don't know.   And just as rising oil prices have cut into Fed Ex and UPS's profit margin, so will the rising price of steel affect MVE.  Falling housing prices may also affect MVE's interstate moving and storage of houshold goods segments.

Good points on all but as for fuel prices affecting how much fed ex and others do business I feel there is not much to stress on that point as i feel that the price jump was due to the fact that bush stated he wanted
to use alternate (my spelling bites sorry) Fuel resources... now the fuel giants have spent babillions developing a world wide network using methods that would make atallia the hun crindge all for the sake of
the all might dollar... so when they even get a sniff of someone or thing dipping into their pockets look out
the world pays IMHO.. so now the word in the media is what lets not get to hastey on using corn etc. as people will starve... now the fuel giants will sit back and let us suffer a bit but then they will have mercy on us and let thing go back to normal.. oh with just a little more cost... all that said.. the giants who controll the shipping industrys have the fuel giants by the nads so to speak so when the shipping giants can't move products because of a lack of boxes or steel or the cost of fuel the giants battle the people suffer but the the world goes back to normal....next time you fly in the us take a good look down at the major shipping ports off the coast you will see hundreds of ships waiting to off load products and put stuff on to go back overseas....  hope you enjoy this little story i feel there is a seed of truth in what i say
    good luck brwtrpilot
