    BEWARE OF DOUBLINGSTOCKS.COM

    Reply Quote
I have been receiving emails with recommendations to buy stocks just in time to supply their buyers with suckers to unload the stocks they pumped a few days earlier and I paid for it to ! 47 dollars for a news letter supposedly to give me picks that will double. Instead they are flat or drop. Looking back they have recently risen. Fortuantely I havent bought. They have been foolish enough to also send me emails patting themselves on the back for the recommendation to buy well before I got it. I have sent several requests to them for a refund and have been ignored.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have already been taken let me know if you got any action on requests for a refund.

If you are on their list of earlier emails before the rise let me and all the rest of us know so we can at least stand a chance of profiting as well. Of course you run the risk of ruining their whole little scam if you do.

    Fortunate Man,
Thanks for the tip. I bought a stock once, based on a tip from something similar. The key thing I learned about investing, much like everything else in life; if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Something that I have been doing is watching CNBC and going to Yahoo Finance. I look at companies' balance sheets, income statment,s analyist's opinions, and quarterly growth to name a few, in deciding which stocks to pick. Good luck.

    Thanks Norm,

I'm new to investing so I was looking for a source of picks and got suckered by these guys. Fortunately I did enough digging on my own before I started getting picks so I new to look beyond what they present and have yet to loose any money with their late picks. I get no reply to them addressing this and I figured as they should already know I will tell everyone I know about my bad experience with them. Almost seems to me as though what they are doing could possibly be considered to be illegal as well. I'm too new to know for sure but I would be very suspect of any pick that comes from any place that looks for a paid subscription to their picks. I always thought you get what you pay for but I see that in many cases the free info will out perform the paid info. But I guess that is what free enterprise is all about. I understand that there may be some good places out there offering insights that are valid but I am having difficulty finding one I would trust due to conflicts of interest with gains and getting burned by these guys. If anybody has a trusted source they would like to share I would be interested in hearing from them. Still there is no replacement for your own due dilligence. I would be willing to pay if it was worthwile. But I have yet to find one that I feel is truly going to supply leads in a timely manner. All I seem to be doing for these guys is being a sucker to complete their game. Educationing myself is mainly what I am doing now and I'm learning alot. Thanks again Norm.

    Hi Norn,

Sounds like you're well on the way to putting together a stock picking plan. I noticed you mentioned analust recomendations. One thing you might want to be aware of (as I wish i was when I first began) these recomendations are not buy/sell signals for the public. They are institutional handshakes letting the big boys know which way to move thier inventory.

An excellent article on this topic can be found in thie month's Active Trader magazine. A prominent analyst opens the lid on the truth about analyst recommendations and who they are for. At one point the interviewer asked the analyst if the small retail trader is ever factored into their recomendations. The answer: never.

    Something to be aware of.

Fortunate Man, I just placed my first trade this morning --the secret pick from Doublingstocks. This is a scam? As you can probably tell I am brand new to this and thought I had found an honest educated trader that was out to help the ordinary trader make some money. I have watched their pevious picks and it's true that more of them went down than went up. I got an email last night saying that a stock would be sent at the opening of the market this morning and that if I wanted to maximize profits I should be ready to buy first thing this morning. I did.First thing I did not understand was that I placed the order for market which showed The price at $.87/share, I bought 1000 shares and was charged at $.94/share. I lost $75.00 today. What do I do now? Do I sell and take the loss or sit and see if the stock goes up? I'm really disapointed-I would think that this is borderline illegal. But in the final analysis it was my own mistake. If you could offer advise I would be very grateful. Thanks....Dan

Sigh, ok kids, this site was already determined to be a scam, the discussion is here:

    http://www.zecco.com/

Get out. You are being played. Their disclaimer now lists dozens of companies that have been paying them to provide these false tips. Try disputing the charge, you won't get a refund directly.

For crying out loud, if somebody knew a sure thing they would bet it.

Nobody who knows the Lotto number is going to give it away or sell it cheap because more winners makes the jackpot smaller.

Pay attention to professionals who get paid BY OTHERS for their opinions. Look at Jim Cramer. He's made a personal fortune and he manages a charitable trust. If you want to know what he, personally, is buying or selling, his trust holdings are on his website.

Is Cramer right all the time? No, but he's a credible source, showmanship aside.

Right here at Zecco, pay more attention to people who share their personal portfolios. If somebody suggests a buy, you can see whether they bought, which is kind of the acid test for sincere advice.

I also subscribed to this and have been very disappointed!

I got an e-mail from him one morning with a pick. Trouble was, by the time I heard about, it had already gone up, and then down. His next e-mail was congratulating everyone on the great pick! It was all over by the time I got my e-mail to buy!

Also, there is suppose to be a pick every Sunday night. Most of the time I don't hear from him for 2 or 3 weeks...sometimes longer!

Hey all reading this- I bought into this scam too. BUT- I got my money back. I'll tell you how. If you purchased with a credit card and it was routed online through click bank, just contsct click bank with the transaction info and let them know what you think of this illegal scam these guys are running and you'll get refunded. Same with paypal. Just submit a disatisfaction with seller dispute at Paypal and they will run it through the system. I got both the initial $47 and the secondary sell of $97 back. Or what ever the total was, I got it all back. Don't bother trying to go through doublingstocks email request form because it is only a host Emailer they use that has no bearing as to refunding due to customer disastisfaction. Also make sure you submit request for refund within timeframe.
