This week we started work on educational video series brought to you by the smart and savvy Zecco Zirens, Liz, Veronica and Rebecca. Let’s face it, the one thing investing education has in common, regardless of source, is that it’s boring and unnecessarily complicated. Not at Zecco.
Our videos show you that investing doesn’t need to be complicated or boring. The Zirens demystify seemingly complex concepts in an entertaining way, making it easy for you to learn how to analyze and trade stocks on your own, without a high-priced broker.
We shot three short educational videos this week: Investing Basics, Fundamental Analysis and Technical Analysis. The team huddled into a tiny, sweltering hot studio in San Francisco (yes- believe it or not, it was incredibly hot in San Fran this past week!) to shoot the videos. The Zirens took the dense material and made it accessible and entertaining. The final cuts should be up on the site along with our re-launched education center in just a few weeks, so keep an eye out! You’ll learn something and be entertained. In August, the Zirens will shoot their next round of videos focusing on Options Education. I’ll keep you posted!
While I’m excited about video content, it’s just a part of the educational resources soon to be available at Zecco.com. The new pages will offer enhanced investing education on asset allocation, stock investing, fundamental analysis, technical analysis and options trading. We’re also building up our topic EDU pages with great offerings on specifics such as Investing in Oil, IPOs, and the particularly relevant topic, Learn to Thrive in a Bear Market (or at least survive). And of course, there’s always ZeccoShare where users help teach and inform each other. To get a good idea of how people are helping people at ZeccoShare, check out Uncle Billy’s extensive blogs and forum posts where he writes about everything from penny stocks to shorting stocks to the cost of buying ETFs. And if you have a specific question, post it on our investing forums and someone will be sure to help you out. That’s what it’s all about!
