I'm sure you've all heard that Apple CEO Steve Jobs is back at work. After a nearly six-month medical leave, he's taking the reins again.
Like few other CEOs, Jobs has had a huge impact on his company's long term performance. Jobs retook the top job at Apple in 1997 and transformed it from a foundering company verging on irrelevant into the huge success it is today. From the MacBook to the iPod to the iPhone, his eye for sleek design, great user interface and a penchant for stellar marketing campaigns has transformed Apple from just another computer company to a trendsetting leader in the technology world. No small feat.
Speaking of design, I'm a very aesthetic person myself and have become a bit of an Apple addict. My home is cluttered with Macs, iPods and iPhones. My Mac is the central feature of my kitchen/dining area. The design of these products has been a huge inspiration to me and the team here at Zecco as we are knee deep in creating the next generation of our website. We're inspired by the sleek look and easy interface Apple is famous for. We aim to capture those qualities in Zecco.com.
I have huge respect for Jobs. Not only do I admire his passion for design but I have a very high opinion his leadership capacities. I wish Steve Jobs the best on his return and hope he has continued success and good health!
