ZeccoShare
has been growing fast since its Beta launch in May of this year. A bundle of
new features have been added, and over 6,000 members have activated a profile.
This means that it has become sometimes hard to keep track of what everyone’s
been up to in the community.
Between making friends with people, selecting
favorites to watch, and participating in groups, there’s a lot of activity going. Who’s trading
what, where are the interesting discussions taking place, which groups are
active? Now, with the addition of our latest feature, you can track all this
information in a single place: the Activity
Feed.

We’ll be honest. It wasn’t our idea. Activity
feeds are used in a lot of community contexts to consolidate information about
the people you’re connected to. At ZeccoShare, we’ve taken our own spin on the concept to be more relevant to the investing community.
Here’s how it works:
- Each ZeccoShare member has an Activity Feed on their profile that shows various actions for themselves, their friends, and their favorites.
- Action categories include making trades, making friends, posting to a shoutbox or group discussion, creating or joining a group, or moving up in performance rank.
- Any time one of your friends or favorites does one of these actions, it will show up in your activity feed.
As always, we want to make sure that you feel
comfortable about what you are sharing. So, we’ve made sure to include several
controls to allow you to manage your Activity Feed:
- On the Activity Feed on your profile, you can remove any activity that you want. Once removed, no user visiting your profile will be able to see it. Be careful though, because you won’t be able to bring it back!
- You can control what types of activities will get displayed on your profile. So if you don’t care about other people becoming friends, you don’t have to see (or publish) them. This option is available on your Activity Feed settings page.
- You can control what types of activities about you will be published on other member’s Activity Feeds. So if you don’t want your activities to be published, no one will see them on their profile pages. Again, this option is available on your Activity Feed settings page.
- If you want, you can turn off the Activity Feed entirely, meaning that no new actions will show up on your profile, and none of your actions will be published to others. No surprise here: this option is available on your Activity Feed settings page.

It’s also worth an explanation for how the engine powering this feature really works – and some noticeable implications.
- Most activities should take somewhere between 15-30 minutes to show up on a feed. Trades will populate on a nightly basis.
- Removing activities from your feed takes effect immediately. It will not impact anyone else’s feed.
- If you change your settings, it will only impact the display of future actions – nothing is changed retroactively.
We hope you’re as excited about this new feature as we are. Like with anything else, we’d love to hear your feedback in one of our many outlets: the ZeccoShare Feedback Forums, ZeccoShare Feedback Group, or as a comment to this post.
