All of 2007 we’ve been working fast and furious to add new
and exciting features to Zecco. This time around, our engineering team really
outdid themselves. Right in time for the Holidays we just rolled out a solid laundry
list of new features. We wrote up a number
of blog posts
to talk about all of them.
Navigation
The most immediately obvious thing is a complete redesign of
our navigation. You’ll notice a simplification of our header and navigation
destinations, including drop-downs when you hover over one of the tabs. Also,
once you’ve left the home page, a side-bar will appear for localized navigation
within most sections. This will help speed things up as you navigate through
the growing number of features, especially within ZeccoShare
and the Trading Center.

Google Custom Search
Another big change is in our search functionality. We’ve
partnered with Google to use their brand-new
Custom Search feature to make all public
contents of our site searchable. That includes the entire Help and Education
sections as well as Blogs and Forums.

Members-only sections, like ZeccoShare
profiles, groups, performance, etc., are excluded for obvious privacy reasons.
Once signed in, those great community features can be accessed through the member search, group
search, or performance scanner.
Talking of which…
ZeccoShare
Of course, ZeccoShare has gotten another round of new
features. We’re particularly excited about the Activity Feeds for member
profiles (here you can see a detailed post
about this feature), and our new Performance
Scanner area (with another detailed post here).
With this last major release of 2007 we’re all ready for a
few days off over the holidays, before coming back full force to keep bringing
you more and more good stuff in 2008. In the meantime, take a look at what’s
new, and continue to let us know what you
think.
Happy Holidays, Happy Sharing!
