MOSCOW, Dec. 13, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- NNRF, Inc. (NNRI) today announced that it has signed an agreement with ECNC to design and develop new Type B(U) nuclear radioactive waste (radwastes) containers.
Type B(U) Container Project
On December 4, 2007, NNRF signed an agreement with Engineering Center of Nuclear Containers OOO (ECNC), Moscow, to design and develop Type B(U) dual purpose transport and storage containers for solid high level radioactive waste. These containers will be used for transportation and storage of radwastes generated at nuclear radiation facilities such as Nuclear Power Plants, nuclear waste storage facilities and other facilities generating radwastes. NNRF and ECNC have agreed to form an equal joint venture in January 2008. The parties also agreed that the joint venture will have marketing and sales operations in countries of interest outside Russia. NNRF will be responsible for all international marketing and sales activities. At Atomeco 2007, ECNC and NNRF representatives met with American attendees who expressed interest in purchasing these containers as a final product for the American market. Swing Man Market Recap:
Wednesday night all the Asian markets were lower despite Wednesday´s gains in the US. Europe came in about 1.35% lower which put downward pressure on the US futures overnight. Before Thursday's open the core PPI was reported much higher than expected (+0.4% for the month) which sparked inflation fears. However, retail sales for November produced a pleasant surprise by coming in higher than expected with gains of 1.2%. On the news, the market gapped down some but less than the futures were indicating earlier in the morning. Within the first hour the market attempted to rally, but quickly turned lower as it moved down to test Wednesday´s lows at 11:00. After that the market worked its way higher for the rest of the session as a positive RSI divergence accompanied the low. At the close the SPX/DOW posted small gains of 0.20% while the NDX/NAZ incurred slight losses of 0.20%. Bonds fell nearly 1 ½ points, Crude slipped $1.90, and Gold tumbled $16.40. Short term momentum diverged positively Thursday morning and has since turned higher. Friday morning core CPI and industrial production will be reported by the government. Overall the market is still sending mixed signals.
The SPX went down Thursday morning to test Wednesday´s lows near its 20 day moving average and managed to hold those levels of support and then rallied to close slightly positive near its highs. The 60 minute charts became much oversold Thursday morning and were accompanied by positive RSI divergence at their lows which helped to produce our late afternoon rally. The best scenario would be for the market to rally some here before pulling back and if that pullback forms a true divergent low (MACD) we then would produce a stronger short term buy signal that allows for more aggressive buying. At this time, I choose to be patient and wait for a better opportunity before becoming more aggressive. In the meantime, I will look for quick scalp trades on both the long and short side.
We closed slightly below our 1490 level on the SPX that represented our previous neckline. It will be interesting to see if the bulls can recapture this level and hold above it Friday. If it can accomplish this task and then possibly pullback one more time and form a divergent low that would provide an ideal long setup. It´s too early to call for anything yet but something to be on the look out for over the coming days. For now, I´m taking things light since there is nothing clear about this market at the moment.
Good Trading.

Jeff Macke adds I think the trade is the grocers. Folks got to eat. I like SWY as well as PG.
Guy Adami says look at UL.
5. LEAVING ON A JET PLANE

8. YOUR FIRST MOVE FOR FRIDAY

Deustche Lufthansa, Europe's second-largest airline, on Friday said its decision to buy a 19% stake in JetBlue Airways Corp. (JBLU) was influenced by the current weakness of the dollar and its belief that the New York-based airline is undervalued. Lufthansa Chairman Wolfgang Mayrhuber also said in a conference call that the investment doesn't mean the airline is no longer interested in European deals. "It wasn't an either or decision," he said. Lufthansa Chief Financial Officer Stephan Gemkow also said that the deal would be good for Lufthansa's North American partners, including Air Canada and United Airlines, with good complementarity and only about 2% of route overlap. - MarketWatch

NNRF, Inc. Announces Nuclear Waste Container Project
The joint venture will own the intellectual property related to all design and development of these Type B(U) containers.
ECNC has production and design facilities in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia, and currently manufactures, under sub contract, nuclear waste containers designed for other types of nuclear and toxic waste. At Atomeco 2007, held in Moscow on December 4-5, ECNC received an award for advanced nuclear waste container technologies from the Federal Agency of Nuclear Energy of the Russian Federation.
The line of containers will include units from 10-80 tons and are designed for transportation and long term dry storage of high level radioactive waste. Radiation protection of these containers will meet all limits established by the International Atomic Energy Association for containers of this type.
The head of the Russian Agency of Atomic Energy (Rosatom), Mr. Sergey V. Kirienko, stated at Atomeco 2007 that the Russian government has budgeted $11 billion dollars for nuclear waste management under its program for nuclear power development and nuclear radiation maintenance and safety. Of this amount, approximately $1.4 billion will be for waste containers. Russia has to deal with approximately 60,000 tons of high level nuclear waste. Russia will require approximately 2,100 containers from 2010 to 2020 for the storage of high level nuclear waste. With the development of the new Type B(U) containers, NNRF and ECNC hope to secure a significant portion of this $1.4 billion container budget. The future joint venture intends to design these containers to allow transport and storage of high level solid waste in countries outside Russia and establish marketing offices internationally.
A report on the signing of this agreement can be found at the Russian Federal Agency of Atomic Energy site http://www.minatom.ru/News/Main/view?id=51173&idChannel=681 in addition to several other Russian media websites.
