MARKET COMMENT October 10, 2006 You’ll have to excuse me. I just can’t resist posting the new scene posted on YouTube featuring a spoof of Madeline Albright’s famous scene from 2000 with the North Korean funny man. If you don’t link to it, don’t worry, it will be coming to a theater near you soon. Now Mr. Market can toss out some goofiness too can’t he? I mean check the morning headlines before the markets opened today (courtesy MarketWatch): “M/I Homes lowers forecast.”“KB Homes sees 22% profit drop.”“D.R. Norton sales fall 34%.”“JPM upgrades homebuilders.” These are the basic index sectors and charts that matter today: homebuilders, consumers, energy, bonds, currencies and commodities. The rest is just fill. Please excuse the irreverent images; I just can’t contain myself sometimes. There will be more October surprises and not all of them will be funny, so laugh while you can because tomorrow could reveal a different story. Disclaimer: The ETF Digest maintains positions in TLT and GLD.
