MARKET COMMENT
April 12, 2007

Sure some investors are just throwing money around when they
get a whiff of any possible opportunity.
Recalling comedian Henny Youngman, “take Novastar [NFI] please”?
The subprime lender with difficulties like many
others put itself up for sale today.
That attracted the crazies who bid up the stock 14% only to see it close
up just a few cents.

Enough of that craziness, we’re still primarily focused on sectors
we think merit your attention.

Bride
of Chucky?
[Couldn’t
resist, sorry!]

Okay so enough with currencies, commodities, housing and
Chucky the Consumer.
Surely there are
other things going on after all the US markets rallied didn’t they?
Okay, right you are!

And now for something a little different
globally speaking.

“Spanning the globe to bring you the constant
variety of sport, the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.”
Hey, someone’s used that already!
Well, you get the idea.
Global markets are “still” where it’s at while US markets while stronger
aren’t keeping pace.
If you don’t have
overseas exposure you’re so last century man!
But, nothing lasts forever.
If markets decline from here no doubt pundits
will be pointing a finger at the weak dollar, high energy prices and other
things totally ignored in the panic to buy today.
Have a great weekend!
