Get a Grip on Your Financial Life!
Financials can be a tough item to manage. I’ve been on the hunt to make and more simply and came across three sites: Wasabe.com, Mint.com, and Geezeo.com . I have tested all three and found I enjoy Geezeo. Geezeo allows its users to get all of their financials in one place, and to effectively make better financial decisions. I get graphs, numbers, goals, and budgets. The goals and budgets are very helpful for me as I actually realize how where I’m in my budget; as well as how far I am in my goals. Texts alerts can also be set up to track your budgets. Geezeo is a FREE service. What I like the most, my life is just a little more simple now that I can have all of my financial stuff in one place.
Don’t see your bank listed. Fill out a Support Ticket requesting Geezeo to add it. Chat is also available 9-5, m-f for questions.
I e-mailed Katie McCaskey, Content Strategy Director at Geezeo
, and asked her a few questions.
How does the community come into play?
- The Geezeo community is a great opportunity to connect with people who share similar backgrounds or financial goals. Sometimes it can be difficult to talk about money matters with friends or family, so, the community allows you to find others who share your interests. For example, we have several groups and goals related to investing. (links: http://www.geezeo.com/goals or http://www.geezeo.com/groups)
Where does Geezeo make money?
- Geezeo is a free site to use; our profits come from our partnership deals currently in development. I imagine this is similar to Zecco's model.
How does Geezeo help with my financial decisions?
- We assume our members are intelligent enough to make their own financial decisions — we provide a place to gather information and make connections with peers. We also produce original content to help keep the process fun, educational, and relevant. Discussing strategies with others makes your financial decision making process stronger: in the end you know you've made the right choice for you and your situation.
Why Geezeo over another site?
- Geezeo offers functional tools, personal connections, and original content. Our attitude is that no matter where you are on the financial spectrum you can learn from others and even have fun. A lot of that attitude is reflected in a fun thing we call Money Confessions (http://www.geezeo.com/confessions). It allows you to get your money fears off your chest and/or browse the good and bad decisions made by others. The Money Confessions section is a good reminder that no one is perfect, and money alone doesn't make for an interesting or rewarding life. We're about learning, and we're about having fun in the process.
For example, see our take on personal finance topics in "The Big Lebowski":

New features to be added? What does the future hold for Geezeo users?
- Geezeo users should expect increased social capabilities and more robust budgeting and analytical tools in the near future. We'll continue to provide original content with a daily dose of money fun, for free. We're growing exponentially.
Is all of my financial information secure?
- Online security is crucial in today's world. Security continues to be our number one priority for everyone in our community. For specific details check out this page:

Here's an example. One of our users experienced identity theft before using Geezeo. He knew the horrors first-hand. Today, he uses Geezeo tools with confidence. I think someone who has experienced that awful reality AND places trust our service speaks volumes. We really do go to additional lengths to make sure your information is secure. Overall, I think many members of the Zecco community will find Geezeo a helpful personal finance tool. I encourage members to join the Zecco group at Geezeo, which can be found here:
